Survivor: Justice and development seems the only option for actual opposition

The writer and anthropologist Muhammad al-Naji believes that the Justice and Development Party seems to be the only option for an actual opposition at the moment, in a blog post published on his personal account on Facebook, according to what was quoted by the "Lakm" website.

Al-Naji described the party as an Islamic party, considering that the parties next to it are mostly pro-government parties.

As far as the left is concerned, the survivor saw that this current in its partisan form has exhausted its energy, as it finds only a fractured party and small groups that have no weight in political action. Therefore, today there is no left-wing alternative capable of action.

He explained that the Islamist discourse of the Justice and Development Party is, according to him, the most effective formula for confronting power.

As for the Party of Authenticity and Modernity, Al-Naji believes that the aim of its establishment was not to confront an Islamic party, but to confront any opposition party that escapes from the grip of power.
