Rachid Hamouni assumes the position of Minister Delegate in charge of Social Inclusion

Rachid Hamouni, a son of the city of Mysore in the Pullman region of the Middle Atlas Mountains, has been appointed Minister Delegate in charge of Social Inclusion. The new minister works alongside Minister Najwa Kokos, who holds the portfolio of Family, Social Development and Equality.

Hamouni holds a bachelor's degree in the physical and chemical sciences, and at the beginning of his political career he served as a collective advisor in his hometown at the beginning of the millennium. He has also been a Member of Parliament since 2011 for three consecutive terms. He led the parliamentary team of the Party of Progress and Socialism, adopting the model of constructive propositional opposition. Hamouni accumulated a practical balance within the Social Sectors Committee and the working groups tasked with reforming the health system and field survey tasks.

The tasks of the new ministerial portfolio include improving the system of caring for people with disabilities, modernizing social welfare institutions to respond to the expectations of civil society, and resolving the dilemmas of horizontal coordination between those involved in protection and economic empowerment programs. The experiment also faces the challenge of ministerial solidarity and controlling coordination with the guardian ministry to avoid any conflict in executive powers.
